Here is a wonderful old large McCoy vase
from 1943. It is pictured on
page 197 of Huxford's Collectors Encyclopedia of McCoy Pottery. It is
12" high and a lovely blue color--a bit deeper than the pictures show.
The color is not solid across the piece--the stoneware clay shows thru
in areas, such as the handles, which makes the relief design show up
better. There is an area on the inside top edge that shows in the second pic--some glaze pops from manufacturing process. No chips, cracks or crazing. Wonderful old example of McCoy pottery! Item # Price: $85.00 |

This is a wonderful old stoneware pitcher that I believe was from a washbowl set. It is a lovely shaded blue/white. Color is darker than first photo shows--hard to get an accurate showing with a flash. This is the Bowknot design--it is embossed (raised). There is one small chip about 3/8" long and two very light/tight hairlines on the top edge about 1" long. I almost missed them. There is crazing here and there, not all over. This pitcher is about 10 1/2" tall and is pictured on page 205 of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware by Taylor/Lowrance. Beautiful pitcher--kind of hate to part with it! Item # P-1146 Price: $140.00 |
